EcoVest

July 2026

EcoVest was created during a 12-hour KnightHacks hackathon at the University of Central Florida as a sustainable investment platform designed to help users explore environmentally conscious investment opportunities. Our team built the project around the idea of combining financial technology with AI, using Google Gemini to generate portfolio insights and help make investment information easier to understand.

My role focused on leading the frontend development and shaping the overall UI/UX of the application. I was responsible for turning our initial concept into a clear, functional interface while also developing the project’s visual identity, layout, and information structure. Because of the extremely limited development window, I had to make design decisions quickly and continuously adapt the interface as the rest of the platform came together.

The project challenged me to balance speed, usability, and presentation while working closely with the rest of the team. By the end of the hackathon, we had transformed an early concept into a working customer-facing prototype that we could present within the deadline. The experience strengthened my ability to prototype rapidly, collaborate under pressure, and create interfaces that support both the technical goals of a project and the needs of the user.
